We are seeking a motivated and passionate intern to support our community outreach and marketing initiatives. This unpaid internship offers hands-on experience working with a mission-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting local underserved communities.

The intern will assist with developing and executing outreach strategies, managing social media and digital content, supporting event planning, and engaging with community partners. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to gain practical experience in nonprofit communications, public relations, or community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and implementing outreach campaigns
• Create and schedule content for social media platforms
• Help coordinate community events and volunteer initiatives
• Maintain and update contact databases and mailing lists
• Conduct outreach to community partners and stakeholders
• Track and report outreach and engagement metrics
• Community outreach
• Social media marketing and phone calls
• Dedicate 10 hours per week
  

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and writing skills
• Comfortability with phone calls/interacting with community partners
• Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn)
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field
• Reliable transportation
