Location: Onsite – Bellevue, WA
Compensation: $30–$35/hour (DOE)
Contract Length: 8 months
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team on an 8-month contract in Bellevue, WA. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and reporting. You’ll be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while supporting employees with payroll-related inquiries.
Key Responsibilities

Process biweekly payroll for all employees with accuracy and timeliness

Review and verify timekeeping records, deductions, and adjustments

Maintain employee payroll records in compliance with federal, state, and company policies

Handle wage garnishments, tax withholdings, and other deductions

Collaborate with HR and accounting to ensure accurate reporting and recordkeeping

Prepare payroll reports and respond to employee payroll inquiries

Assist with audits and year-end reporting (W-2s, tax filings, etc.)

Support process improvements and ensure payroll best practices are followed
Qualifications
-
3+ years of payroll experience (multi-state payroll preferred)

Proficiency with payroll software (ADP, Paychex, or similar) and Microsoft Excel

Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax compliance, and wage/hour laws

High attention to detail, confidentiality, and accuracy

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
