Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) – Clinical Supervisor
Hawaii Island (Hilo or Kona preferred)
Are you a licensed mental health professional with a passion for working with adults living with serious mental illness? Do you have CCS (Community Care Services) experience and a desire to lead clinical teams with integrity, empathy, and purpose?
Join Mental Health Kokua (MHK) as a Clinical Supervisor and help advance our mission to empower recovery and support community integration. This full-time position is based on Hawaii Island, and we are seeking a seasoned professional who is already credentialed with Med-QUEST and Ohana Health Plan, or eligible to be credentialed upon hire.
Clinical Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical supervision to case management and residential staff working with adults with SMI.
- Lead interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and develop individualized service plans.
- Offer consultation and guidance on complex, high-risk cases using evidence-based interventions.
- Ensure clinical documentation meets contract, CCS, and accreditation standards.
- Train staff in trauma-informed care, risk assessment, recovery-based practices, and ethical service delivery.
- Promote a supportive, culturally responsive, and clinically sound work environment.
Clinical Supervisor Qualifications:
- Licensure: Must be independently licensed in the State of Hawaii as an LCSW, LMFT, APRN, or Psychologist (QMHP status).
- Credentialing: Must be currently credentialed or eligible for credentialing with Med-QUEST and Ohana Health Plan.
- Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in mental health or human services; preference given to those with direct experience working with adults living with serious mental illness (SMI).
- CCS Background: Prior experience with Community Care Services (CCS) is strongly preferred.
- Leadership: Supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
- Location Requirement: Must currently reside on Hawaii Island and be available for in-person work.
- Compliance: Must pass a criminal background check and maintain current certifications in CPR, First Aid, and TB clearance.
- Driving: Must possess a valid Hawaii driver’s license with a clean abstract.
- Physical Requirement: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and travel between program locations as needed.
