Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and external audit standards, acting as a key resource on best practices.
  • Generate and analyze a variety of financial reports to support operational reviews on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Oversee the full Accounts Receivable cycle, including posting payments, processing credit adjustments, managing collections, and reconciling customer accounts.
  • Contribute to the preparation and review of financial statements and management reports, including posting journal entries and compiling supporting data.
  • Perform in-depth account reconciliations across various general ledger categories, such as inventory, payables, receivables, cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and accrued liabilities.
  • Partner with departmental leaders to establish standard costing and conduct weekly variance analysis.
  • Participate in the month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Conduct detailed analyses and prepare documentation for excess and obsolete inventory, LIFO and FCA calculations, and other inventory-related assessments.
  • Support the annual budgeting process, including proposal reviews and financial forecasting. Monitor budget performance and offer strategic guidance to leadership.
  • Take on special projects and other accounting tasks as needed to support the evolving needs of the department.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong analytical mindset with a focus on continuous process improvement.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems used for accounting and financial consolidation.
  • Solid understanding of Accounts Payable workflows.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Capable of juggling multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Able to work independently while maintaining a collaborative team approach.
  • Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP and its application in day-to-day operations.
