We are seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to join a busy hospital lab in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This role involves collecting blood and non-blood specimens, performing screening tests, and preparing samples for laboratory testing and dispatch. Key Responsibilities

  • Collect blood specimens and non-blood samples (urine, sputum, throat swabs).
  • Perform and report screening test results accurately.
  • Process and prepare specimens for lab testing and reference lab dispatch.
  • Respond to codes, ABGs, and rapid response calls.
  • Handle:
    • ~50 sticks/day shift
    • ~35 sticks/evening shift
    • ~25–30 sticks in first 4 hours of night shift
  • Primarily work with adult patients; occasional pediatric burn unit involvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in venipuncture, blood draws, and specimen collection.
  • Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience or clinical training.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (not required with experience).
  • Clinical rotation or hospital experience for newly certified candidates.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Work Schedule & Environment

  • Shifts available: Day, Evening, Night
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday with every other weekend; consistent weekday off
  • Setting: Hospital lab with the region’s only burn unit (mostly adult patients)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $20.00/hr.
