REPORTS TO: Lead Mold Builder
DIRECT REPORTS: No Direct Reports
WAGE RANGE: $19 - $23 per hour (based on experience)

About the Position:
While we are not hiring for this role immediately, we are seeking to connect with motivated individuals who want to learn more, stay in touch, and be considered for next year’s opportunities. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates, current students in Machine Tool Technology programs, or individuals interested in pursuing a career in machining with employer-funded education. In this hands-on role, you will learn and perform a variety of machining tasks including reading manufacturing plans and CAD data, setting up tooling, and operating CNC milling, EDM, and surface grinding equipment. You’ll also conduct inspections, maintain quality standards under ISO 13485, follow safety procedures, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Ideal candidates are reliable, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and grow in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Interpretation of Manufacturing Plans, Prints, and/or CAD data.
- Identification & Set-up of appropriate tooling and fixturing required for accurate and safe machining.
- Programming and/or Operation of various CNC Milling, EDM, & Surface grinding equipment.
- Perform & Document all necessary inspections to assure quality expectations.
- Maintain all process and documentation standards in accordance with QMS: ISO 13485.
- Observe and adhere to all safety expectations, procedures, and regulations.
- Contribute and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Conduct routine Preventive Maintenance of equipment.
Requirements:
Experience:
- Preferred experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Education or training in manufacturing or a related technical field is beneficial.
Required Skills:
- Reliable team player motivated to build a career in Machining.
- Eager, self-driven, and a fast learner with a strong mechanical aptitude.
- Interest in building things and understanding mechanical systems.
- Proficient in basic computer applications and possesses moderate math skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Capable of working independently with effective communication and follow-up skills.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Requires mobility to move around, reach, handle, and feel objects.
- Visual acuity sufficient to read documents, technical drawings, and computer screens (with or without accommodation).
- Hearing ability adequate for phone use and verbal communication with team members and visitors (with or without accommodation).
