Job Description

Responsible for supporting the CFO in managing a company's financial activities, including preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and assisting with budgeting and audits.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions.
Interface with Payroll Dept for Payroll Journal Entry; accuracy and upload/posting of Payroll JE
Reconciliation of payroll quarterlies and annual reports
Revenue & Gratuity Reconciliation
Financial Statements: Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends for Texas Entity
Worker’s comp reconciliations- quarterly and annually
Interface with annual workers' comp audit
Prepare work comp bid sheets.
PUC (Public Utilities Commission) & Other Business Licenses
Involvement in Business Insurance renewals
Monthly reconciliation of A/R
Prep Cash Flow Statements
All business License applications/filings
Year end: G/L reconciliation
Sales Tax Filing for State of (GA Atlanta Operations)
Budget Uploads
Establish & maintain Fixed Asset schedules & Reporting
Annual Reporting of Personal Property in State of Texas

Software:
Uses Sage ERP 100 accounting software to maintain records and prepare reports.
Uses Reservation Software to obtain/ reconciliation & recording of Revenues/Gratuities
Special projects

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
* Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
* Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
* Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
* Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
* Maintains historical records by filing documents.

Skills/Qualifications:
Developing Standards, Analyzing Information, Dealing with Complexity, Reporting Research Results, Accounting, Attention to Detail, Confidentiality, and Thoroughness
Must be proficient with Excel
Strong communications skills
Highly *ANALYTICAL* and able to multi task and complete projects timely. Be highly organized, detail oriented, and able to work under pressure.
Excellent with researching / resources

* Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.

**Although most of the position’s duties are outlined above, there are times when you will be requested to manage other projects.

Training by CFO, over the next few months will be criterial. Goal to enable you to reach optimum productivity and in-depth understanding of the job responsibilities, as soon as possible. The core competencies will be key to being on your own. Good note taking and ability in recalling to memory of training on Company's internal systems and external fiduciary requirements.
