Job DescriptionJob Opportunity: Medical Physicist

Our organization is looking for a dedicated Medical Physicist to become part of the vibrant faculty at our main campus within the Department of Radiation Oncology. This is a full-time faculty role, with academic rank and salary aligned with the candidate's experience and qualifications.

The selected individual will collaborate with a team of nine medical physicists who manage clinical duties across our network, focusing on areas such as brachytherapy, SRS/SBRT, TBI, and quality assurance. The ideal applicant will hold Board Certification (or be Board Eligible) and possess a PhD in Medical Physics or a related discipline, along with a robust clinical background in Radiation Oncology Physics.

Qualifications for the Ideal Candidate:

  • Board Certified (or Board Eligible) with a PhD in Medical Physics or a related field.
  • Strong clinical experience in Radiation Oncology Physics.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, problem-solving skills, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Dedication to teaching physics to medical residents, medical physics residents, and graduate students at the MS level.
  • Ability to develop independent research initiatives.

Our Radiation Oncology Department is equipped with advanced treatment technologies and a wide array of clinical and academic resources:

  • State-of-the-Art Technology: 3 Varian TrueBeams, 1 Varian Edge, 1 Varian Ethos, 3 CT simulators, Aria/Eclipse/Ethos systems, Elekta Flexitron, Zeiss Intrabeam.
  • Comprehensive Services: SRS, SBRT, HDR, TBI, IORT, hyperthermia, and Online Adaptive RT.
  • Dynamic Team: Comprising 6 faculty physicists, 3 clinical physicists, 1 physicist-scientist, 6 dosimetrists, and 2 medical physics residents.

This role offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including:

  • Starting salary ranging from $159,000 to $985,945.
