Job DescriptionJob Summary:The Substitute Teacher carries out the instructional and supervisory duties of a regular teacher in their absence. This includes managing the classroom, following lesson plans, and ensuring a safe, productive learning environment.Key Responsibilities:

• Follow and implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, respectful environment.
• Supervise students during class and transitions.
• Take attendance and report any issues to school administration.
• Adapt teaching methods to fit student needs when necessary.
• Leave notes or feedback for the returning teacher regarding the day’s activities.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or bachelor’s degree (varies by district).
• Valid substitute teaching permit or certification (as required by the state or district).
