We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to support financial operations for a manufacturing company based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This contract position requires a detail-oriented individual with experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general bookkeeping tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to manage financial data efficiently and ensure accuracy in processing transactions.
Responsibilities:
• Process approximately 100 accounts payable invoices weekly, including coding and matching to purchase orders.
• Manage complex overseas invoices including attached documentation and reconciliations.
• Conduct weekly check runs and process daily payments, including wires and approvals.
• Enter invoices into the system, reconcile financial data, and ensure accurate payment documentation.
• Utilize bookkeeping software such as QuickBooks, Epicor or NetSuite, etc for financial entries and reporting.
• Pull and sort data using intermediate Excel skills for journal entries and reconciliations.
• Handle accounts receivable tasks, including creating revenue invoices and recording payments.
• Perform payroll duties for a workforce of 50-100 employees across multiple states, including managing timecards and approvals.
• Double-check payroll batches for accuracy and submit them for processing.
• Assist with journal entries and other general bookkeeping responsibilities as needed.

• Proven experience in bookkeeping, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Familiarity with purchase order matching processes, especially in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in financial software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
• Intermediate Excel skills to pull, sort, and analyze financial data.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to reconcile complex invoices.
• Knowledge of payroll processes for small to mid-sized teams, including multi-state compliance.
• Ability to manage daily financial tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills for coordinating approvals and payments.
