Your Role as a Dental Hygienist
In this position, you will be recognized as a vital clinical provider and patient advocate. Minimum Qualifications
- Valid dental hygienist license in Illinois and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (as required).
- Strong understanding of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, patient screening, and medical history documentation.
- Current CPR Certification.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems.
- A willingness to continue learning and developing clinical skills to meet patient needs and provide preventive care.
- Clinical requirements as needed by the office.
- No prior experience is necessary!
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform essential duties as required by the office or supervising doctor, with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
- Must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 45 pounds occasionally.
- Availability to attend virtual or in-person training sessions periodically throughout the year.
- To ensure a safe environment for both team members and patients, a tuberculosis (TB) test is mandatory for all new hires in dental office roles. This standard requirement must be completed before starting employment. Arrangements for the test will be made during the pre-employment process, with necessary guidance provided. This requirement does not apply in Florida and Tennessee.
