Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher based in Wilmington, VT, supporting students primarily at the elementary level with a caseload of approximately 15 students or fewer. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with occasional after-school meetings that are always scheduled in advance. Immediate availability is required due to high urgency, and there is potential for the role to continue into the next school year.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing individualized instruction aligned with students’ IEPs.
• Collaborating effectively with fellow staff members to support student success.
• Monitoring and evaluating student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
• Participating in scheduled meetings to discuss student needs and program development.
• Offering support across grade levels, including elementary and potentially high school students.

Qualifications and experience sought:

• Current certification or licensure in Special Education.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, with openness to serving some high school students.
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
• Ability to collaborate well within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive learning environment.
