Our client is seeking a Trading Support Specialist to join their team in Chicago. This role sits at the intersection of front office trading support, exchange connectivity, and client service, acting as a key point of contact between clients, brokers, and internal teams. The position is high-impact and front-line, focused on ensuring seamless access to global markets, maintaining trading system stability, and supporting real-time trading activity across multiple platforms.
Required Experience / Skills
- Experience supporting front-office trading systems and electronic trading environments
- Familiarity with order routing platforms and ISVs (e.g., TT, CQG, Fidessa, or similar)
- Knowledge of exchange connectivity and global derivatives markets
- Experience with FIX protocol and/or API-based trading connectivity
- Strong troubleshooting skills across real-time trading systems and market data flows
- Working knowledge of Excel and database queries for reporting and analysis
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, real-time trading environment with a calm, solutions-oriented approach
- Knowledge of policies, operational risk frameworks, and regulatory obligations related to SEC, FINRA, CFTC, NFA, etc.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with both technical teams and end users/clients
- Experience with client onboarding, system configuration, or production support
