A-Line Staffing is now hiring an Instrument Assembly Technician III. The role would be working for a major medical device/manufacturing company and has strong career growth potential. Compensation

• The pay for this position is $21.82 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with company match is available to full-time employees with 1 year of service on eligibility dates


Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to extend based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Mandatory overtime is required


Job Overview

• Perform repetitive and non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies
• Assemble electromechanical modules, boards, panels, frames, drawers, cables, and harnesses
• Perform wiring, component installation, hand soldering, fitting, and cable harnessing
• Work from diagrams, drawings, and work instructions while using hand and power tools, jigs, and saws
• Conduct quality inspections in accordance with quality specifications
• Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test prototype or experimental assemblies
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex instrument assembly issues
• Make setup adjustments while holding blueprint tolerances


Responsibilities

• Build, integrate, and understand the full assembly process for assigned instruments
• Assemble multiple product lines and integrate subassemblies into final instruments
• Maintain device history records including serial numbers and tool usage
• Perform basic component and module testing
• Identify defects and recommend process or design improvements
• Read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and workmanship standards
• Train and support associates on mechanical assembly and basic testing activities
• Execute test instructions and analyze results to determine pass/fail status
• Perform routine to moderately complex troubleshooting and repair work
• Interface with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing as needed
• Perform standard material handling for raw materials and subassemblies
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in compliance with GMP standards
• Follow all company safety, quality, and housekeeping policies
• Perform overtime and additional duties as required to meet business needs


Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED with 2.5+ years of manufacturing experience, or an AA technical degree with relevant technical experience
• Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of mechanical tools (torque drivers, gauges, bits, etc.)
• Proficient in reading and interpreting drawings and measurements
• Ability to manage time across multiple production orders
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and manage frequent assignment changes
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in a repetitive environment
• Basic PC skills and experience using Windows-based systems
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, basic math, charts, and diagrams)


Preferred Qualifications

• Proven leadership skills with experience mentoring or training associates
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing initiatives
• Forklift experience or certification is a plus
