\n\nJob Description\n
The Level II Nursery RN will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to newborns, floating as needed among five hospitals. This includes caring for the lowest acuity newborns in the Level II Nursery and providing support for mothers through postpartum care.
\n\nResponsibilities\n
- \n
- Perform newborn assessments and phototherapy.
- Manage thermoregulation and assess newborn hypoglycemia.
- Provide discharge teaching to parents.
- Demonstrate pain assessment and management skills, including the use of PCA (IV).
- Administer care related to perineum, lochia, and incision care for mothers.
- Advise on breastfeeding techniques and manage postpartum hemorrhage.

\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in MBU (Mother-Baby Unit).
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required.
- Must hold an active New Jersey or Compact RN license.
- Previous charge experience preferred.
