DEPARTMENT: Financial Advisory Group
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Financial Advisory Group Operations Manager
SUPERVISES: No supervisory responsibility
SUMMARY: Assists in assuring compliance with all department policies and procedures, as well as applicable regulations.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains current understanding of regulations as they relate to fiduciary and compliance issues and educates the department regarding the same.
- Performs administrative reviews of accounts.
- Ensures accuracy of IRA disbursements, including required minimum distributions.
- Assists examiners and auditors and follows-up with recommendations.
- Reconciles general ledger and internal operating accounts.
- Analyzes and interprets a wide variety of transactions and identifies risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
- Recommends procedural and policy changes and assists with revising procedures and policies.
- Research special items and completes special projects as needed.
- Handles and answers customer inquiries in accordance with Brand Standards.
- Back-up operations duties as needed.
- Performs other administrative duties as assigned.
- Assists in oversight of Financial Advisory Group operations staff to help ensure accuracy.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or related field or 4 years of financial/accounting related work experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of accounting principles, as well as analytical, verbal, mathematical and written communication skills
- Fluency in computer applications such as accounting software and Microsoft Office Programs
