Job Description
This is a hands-on, lab-based role responsible for performing environmental monitoring within controlled cleanroom areas and supporting routine QC laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine environmental monitoring in cleanroom and controlled process spaces to ensure compliance with environmental and aseptic standards.
- Collect samples from high‑purity water systems, clean steam, and compressed gases.
- Support day-to-day lab operations including cleaning controlled temperature units (CTUs), operating autoclaves, and maintaining general lab cleanliness.
- Assist with calibration and maintenance coordination for laboratory equipment to ensure readiness and compliance.
- Utilize the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to log samples, track data, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Participate in rotating schedules including overtime, weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage to support 24/7 operations.
Cleanroom Requirements
- No cosmetics, makeup, or false eyelashes permitted.
- Short, unpolished nails only; no artificial nails or decorations.
- No jewelry except a smooth ring band or approved medical alert item.
- Hair must be fully secured in a hairnet; facial hair must be trimmed and fully covered.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related field
- Ability to meet physical demands, including:
- Lifting 25+ lbs
- Standing/walking for extended periods
- Pushing/pulling equipment
- Bending and reaching for materials
- Strong ability to learn new techniques, multitask, maintain accurate records, and follow SOPs and policies.
- Proficiency with computer systems and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with strict attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a positive, adaptable attitude.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without restriction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology settings.
- Familiarity with microbial identification workflows.
- Previous environmental monitoring experience.
- Knowledge of cGMP regulations.
- Experience with LIMS.

Additional Details:
This is a full-time, onsite position based on a second shift schedule Sunday through Wednesday, 12:30pm-11pm, with overtime required as needed. Training is Monday through Friday from 7:00am-3:30pm.
