Melon Local is looking for an enthusiastic Client Success Manager who has a passion for building world-class relationships and delivering excellent results! This position will be working at the HQ in Las Vegas, where the rest of our awesome team works (though we are nationwide in scope). Melon is seeking an account-manager type of candidate that is professional, yet still likes to break out of the traditional box that most companies try to put people in. Our goal is to continue to be the most fun and inclusive agency that serves insurance agents and their businesses anywhere in the US.
Starting pay is based on previous digital advertising experience in a professional environment – former agency setting always preferred – starting at $50,000 - $60,000 salary. CSMs can be promoted up to multiple tiers/levels beyond the initial salary, with each increased tier offering a substantial increase in base pay + usual bonuses and commission opportunities. Year-end performance bonuses are also available.
Each Client Success Manager is the lifeblood of Melon Local. You are the literal face of our agency to your roster of clients. We are an agency built on customer service so your role is paramount in maintaining and enhancing our reputation.
You are responsible for scheduling calls with each of your clients at least one time per month. During these calls you review budgets, KPIs and overall results. You are expected to make suggestions for improvement and identify ways to add value. You are also encouraged to upsell to higher packages or add additional services.
You are encouraged to get to know your clients on a personal level and learn how they prefer to communicate. Adapt your communication style to their comfort level. If they are personable and like to chit chat, take advantage – learn their kids ages, their dog’s name, their anniversary. If they prefer to be all business and dive right into the numbers, you can deliver.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct monthly calls with each of your clients where you review budgets, KPIs and overall results
- Manage the client relationship through effective communication, problem solving, and responding to requests
- Maintain (and post for team) accurate records of meetings, decisions and next actions
- Ensure that project deadlines and budgets are met, communicating and seeking approval of any changes to these
- Work up to a comfortable min. of 80 clients and continue to grow
- Identify ways to grow client accounts through new business opportunities
- Keep the team and the client up to date with useful knowledge
- Ability to lift at least 15 lbs
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field preferred, but not required
- 3 years of experience minimum in an account manager or similar type of customer service role is required
- Experience with internet leads or any internet lead generation is a MAJOR plus
- Experience within insurance industry is a MAJOR plus
- Experience or familiarity with a marketing agency or digital marketing overall is a MAJOR plus
- Experience working with web development and SEO is a MAJOR plus
- Experience working with G-suite products is a plus
- Knowledge of social media management is a plus
- Have or willingness to get certified in Google Ads, Google Analytics and Facebook Ads
- Adept at working within a team of different people
- Organized, with strong attention to detail and time management skills
- An effective communicator, both verbally and in writing
- Persuasive, able to sell work and ideas, and respond positively to feedback
- Flexible and able to solve problems
- Resilient and positive in difficult situations
- Able to juggle competing demands from clients and the agency
- Extremely web and email savvy
- Ability to perform other duties as assigned
