Hilt Strategic Communications is seeking a self-motivated, proactive, and results- and deadline-driven public relations professional to work with our team.

We’re a group of senior practitioners, from global PR agencies and Fortune 500 companies, committed to delivering results that advance the corporate objectives of our publicly traded and privately held clients.

We’re seeking an experienced public relations professional with a strong work ethic and proven media relations capabilities that can hit the ground running. Being a self-starter with exceptional written and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with peers, media and clients is a must.

Responsibilities Include:

· Write press releases, bylines, case studies, speaker abstracts and award entries that support product launches and ongoing awareness initiatives

· Research appropriate promotional opportunities

· Pitch press releases and story ideas to trade and national journalists, across print, broadcast and online media outlets and respond to journalists’ requests

· Arrange and staff interviews and editorial meetings with key journalists for clients’ spokespeople

· Monitor and leverage media coverage, and report results to the wider team and clients

· Attend clients' industry conferences and/or annual planning meetings (1 - 2 per year total)

· Brainstorm fresh ideas for PR pitches and promotional campaigns

Requirements:

· 3 – 10 years PR experience in an agency isrequired.

· Oil and gas or energy industry experience is strongly preferred

· B2B PR experience preferred

· English language fluency, both written and verbal

· Strong writing skills – spelling, grammar, proofreading, as well as having a creative flair for producing engaging copy

· Excellent interpersonal skills and positive attitude

· Ability to work under deadlines

· 80 hours/month capacity (4 hours/day)
