Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Generator Technician with 2–3 years of hands-on experience in generator maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have experience working on diesel and/or gas-powered generators, performing preventive maintenance, and diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues.
Key Responsibilities:

Service and repair diesel and gas-powered generators (residential, commercial, and industrial).

Perform preventive maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, coolant checks, and battery inspections.

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues.

Conduct load bank testing and verify generator performance.

Inspect and repair automatic transfer switches (ATS) and control panels.

Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.

Ensure all work complies with OSHA, NFPA, and manufacturer safety standards.

Maintain detailed service records and complete work orders accurately.

Provide exceptional customer service during on-site visits.

Be available for emergency and on-call service as needed.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.

2–3 years of experience in generator maintenance and repair.

Familiarity with major generator brands (Cummins, Generac, CAT, Kohler, etc.).

Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.

Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

EGSA certification or manufacturer-specific training a plus.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various outdoor conditions.
