Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Generator Technician with 2–3 years of hands-on experience in generator maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have experience working on diesel and/or gas-powered generators, performing preventive maintenance, and diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service and repair diesel and gas-powered generators (residential, commercial, and industrial).

• Perform preventive maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, coolant checks, and battery inspections.

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues.

• Conduct load bank testing and verify generator performance.

• Inspect and repair automatic transfer switches (ATS) and control panels.

• Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.

• Ensure all work complies with OSHA, NFPA, and manufacturer safety standards.

• Maintain detailed service records and complete work orders accurately.

• Provide exceptional customer service during on-site visits.

• Be available for emergency and on-call service as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.

• 2–3 years of experience in generator maintenance and repair.

• Familiarity with major generator brands (Cummins, Generac, CAT, Kohler, etc.).

• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

• EGSA certification or manufacturer-specific training a plus.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various outdoor conditions.
