Your Role as a Dental Hygienist
As a Dental Hygienist, you will be recognized as a premier clinical provider and patient advocate. You will play a vital role in the patient care team, ensuring that your patients receive the attention and care they deserve. Minimum Qualifications
- Valid dental hygienist license in Virginia and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (as applicable).
- Strong understanding of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, patient screening, and medical history documentation.
- Current CPR Certification.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems.
- A commitment to ongoing learning and enhancing clinical skills to meet patient needs and provide preventive care.
- Ability to address clinical needs as required by the office.
Physical Requirements
- Capability to perform essential duties as required by the office/doctor with or without reasonable accommodation. Accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds occasionally.
- Willingness to participate in virtual or in-person training sessions periodically throughout the year.
- To ensure a safe environment for both team members and patients, a tuberculosis (TB) test is mandatory for all new hires in dental office roles. This requirement will be arranged during the pre-employment process, with necessary guidance provided. This does not apply in the states of FL & TN.
