Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimize warehouse and distribution activities in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role involves managing teams, coordinating shipments, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving improvements in operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and supply chain management, along with a proven ability to lead and execute strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise and provide guidance to warehouse staff, shipping coordinators, and contract workers to meet performance goals.
• Coordinate shipments using third-party carriers and logistics platforms, including booking and administrative tasks when necessary.
• Oversee order processing, picking, packing, and shipping operations, stepping in to address workflow and accuracy challenges.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, distribution standards, and industry requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels, optimize warehouse organization, and streamline fulfillment processes.
• Resolve shipping issues and address escalated customer service concerns in collaboration with the Customer Service Representative.
• Implement systems to track shipments, manage logistics software, and document operational procedures.
• Assist with billing summaries and administrative tasks to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Collaborate with ownership on strategic planning, process improvements, and team training initiatives.
• Support transition activities in the event of operational relocation within the area.• Minimum of 2 years of experience in operations or logistics management.
• Strong knowledge of distribution and warehouse processes.
• Proficiency in supply chain logistics and third-party carrier coordination.
• Effective leadership and team management abilities.
• Familiarity with logistics software and tracking systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to ensure regulatory compliance and uphold safety standards.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with stakeholders.
