Job Objective

Reporting to the COO, the Director Sales & Marketing is responsible for developing, managing, and supporting new customer acquisition through direct sales and marketing initiatives.

The primary function of this position is overseeing and managing the sales and marketing of OTI’s well-proven and diverse product lines. These products and services include interactive dashboards and online research tools reporting on the Broadband sector. In addition, OTI markets and sells a variety of market research and competitive intelligence across Video, Wireless, Gaming, and Home Security industries and develops and licenses access to proprietary online research portals for the largest media companies.

As a key position within OTI’s operations, this role will work closely with our COO to help establish and execute corporate revenue goals, new product development goals, and other key corporate growth initiatives. In addition, the position will interface daily with OTI staff, internal and third-party analysts, vendors, existing clients, and prospective clients and will require daily tracking and analysis of industry changes and events as they may relate to OTI’s sales objectives and strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Relationship Management: Position will work with COO to establish a detailed target sales list and set specific goals for identifying and contacting key decision makers throughout the broadband, video, wireless, and gaming sectors while establishing a strategic plan for growing, fostering, and personalizing these relationships throughout the year.
  • New Business Development: manage the sales life cycle by continuously prospecting and qualifying leads, providing OTI product information and demos, managing service trials, and following up on next steps.
  • Marketing Strategy Development and Execution: develop target marketing strategy for OTI’s prospects and assist with the development and execution of a strategic marketing plan which outlines selected marketing and promotional tactics, timing, and expense. Tactics will include: leveraging promotional opportunities at industry trade shows, the distribution of a monthly sales newsletter and/or current marketing collateral, leave behinds and product sheets, while collaborating with executive management on updates to our marketing website and social media presence.
  • OTI Services Subject Matter Expert: prioritize the development and ongoing OTI product knowledge expertise by continually researching and studying the key features and benefits of each OTI product and how our services align with industry changes and competitive offerings.
  • New Client Onboarding: collaborate with internal product support teams on communication and training sessions to provide a seamless onboarding experience and unparalleled customer support.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field is required; a master’s degree in business administration is a plus.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a direct sales role with B2B customers.
  • Direct experience within streaming, cable/satellite TV, telecommunications, SaaS, and/or consumer electronics sectors is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable interacting with and presenting to superiors, colleagues, and clients of all levels.
  • Experience working with Salesforce or other Customer Relationship Management systems.
  • Strong organizational, project management and customer service skills.
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work within tight and often-changing deadlines and priorities.
  • A commitment to self-sufficiency but with the ability to collaborate and work as part of a team.
  • Intellectual curiosity, innovation, exacting standards, and adherence to deadlines.
  • Moderate travel may be required. Primary markets include NY, Philadelphia, Stamford, Atlanta, LA
