We are seeking a reliable and friendly Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of our front desk. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, have strong communication skills, and have the ability to effectively multitask in a busy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient scheduling: Assist patients with making appointments
  • Greet and check in patients with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Communication: Answering phones and assisting patients with appointments both over the phone and in person.
  • Electronic medical records: Using Electronic Health Records (EHR) to make changes to patient information and scheduling
  • Answer and direct phone calls: addressing patient inquiries and concerns.
  • Collect and process insurance information: posting of payments including co-pays.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed: including mailing of statements, scanning, faxing, and data entry.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff: Manage patient flow and address any scheduling issues.
  • Confidentiality: Maintaining confidentiality and discretion with patient information

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in healthcare administration is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a medical front desk or receptionist role is required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and working knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
  • A customer-focused attitude and commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Experience with Nextgen PM/EHR preferred
