Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Proficient in providing both push-in and pull-out services
Location:
- Naval Anacost Annex, DC
Responsibilities:
- Assess and adapt curriculum to meet the individual needs of students with varying abilities
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment
- Implement IEP goals and monitor student progress through regular assessments
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student development
- Provide direct support to students both in and out of the classroom setting
