Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years MS RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Deliver skilled patient care in a dynamic med/surg setting, supporting post-operative recovery and oncology overflow cases with a focus on quality and safety. This contract opportunity is based in Papillion, NE, within a 50-mile radius requirement for candidate eligibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for med/surg and post-OR recovery patients, maintaining 1:5 patient ratios
- Float within specified units as needed, staying within scope of practice
- Adhere to hospital policies including fingernail guidelines and crisis protocols
- Successfully complete a pass/fail skills exam during orientation with a minimum 90% score
- Utilize basic life support (BLS) techniques and nursing interventions effectively
- Apply knowledge of nasal cannula and other respiratory therapy equipment as required
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse license with Med-Surg experience (minimum 1 year preferred)
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply, with no specific oncology experience required
- Valid drivers license to verify location compliance
- Ability to meet fingernail policy (no artificial nails permitted)
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Compliance with crisis protocol and facility-specific requirements
