What You’ll Do
The Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in supporting the HR department’s daily operations. This position is responsible for executing HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, and performance management. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in employment laws and HR best practices, with a strong ability to foster a positive and compliant workplace culture.
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies aligned with business goals
- Collaborate with managers to create accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria
- Manage job postings, resume screening, and interview coordination
- Maintain and update employee records in HRIS system (ADP)
- Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new hires, ensure compliance with policies and regulations
- Serve as a resource for employee inquiries and concerns
- Administer employee benefits, support payroll processing, and manage leave requests
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and update HR policies
- Prepare documentation for audits and regulatory reporting
- Support training, professional development, and wellness programs
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related field is preferred.
- 1 - 3 years of broad HR experience.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, preferably ADP.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- High level of confidentiality and professional integrity is a must.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Current SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment.
- Experience in the insurance industry is desirable.
