Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a bilingual (Spanish) Speech Language Pathologist to provide specialized support within a school setting. This contract position is onsite and itinerant, serving school-aged children (K-5) with speech and language evaluations. Part-time hours range between 20 to 30 per week, with flexibility to complete the report writing portion remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for pediatric students (K-5) to identify communication disorders.
- Work directly with children in an itinerant role across school sites, delivering culturally and linguistically appropriate assessments.
- Collaborate with educators and staff to support individualized education plans based on evaluation outcomes.
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation and complete detailed evaluation reports remotely as assigned.
- Adhere to professional standards and school policies related to student privacy and therapeutic interventions.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist certification/licensure.
- Fluency in Spanish and English, with experience in bilingual assessments.
- Previous experience working with pediatric populations within school settings.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage students and school personnel effectively.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule to accommodate itinerant duties.
