Job Description

Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Location: Crewe, VA

Schedule:

Full-Time: 37.5 hours/week
Shift: Days | 5x7.5-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 2:30 PM)

Assignment Details:

Grade Level: Elementary (K–1st Grade)
Setting: Self-contained classroom
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: End of current school year (optional field if known)

Requirements:

Must hold a valid Virginia Special Education Teaching License
Experience working with early elementary students preferred
Strong classroom management, collaboration, and individualized instruction skills

Compensation:

Pay Rate: $50–$52/hour (W2)

Job Description:
The Special Education Teacher will provide direct instruction and support to students in a self-contained K–1 classroom setting. The teacher will develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning needs, and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment. This role involves collaborating with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to ensure that each student achieves academic and behavioral success.
