Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations. This role is critical to ensuring efficient procurement, inventory management, and logistics coordination to meet business objectives and enhance operational efficiency.
We are looking for someone with enough of a technical background to easily interpret engineering drawings and to understand component manufacturing processes such as plastic injection molding, casting, machining, extrusion, and coatings to be able to effectively select supplier of these components and to understand their cost structures.
This is a 4-day on site and a 1-day off site position, you must be commutable distance of 50 minutes or willing to relocate yourself to the area. No relocation assistance will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize cost, efficiency, and sustainability.
- Manage procurement processes, supplier relationships, and contract negotiations.
- Oversee inventory control, demand forecasting, and warehouse operations to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, sales, and customer service to ensure seamless operations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze data to improve processes and decision-making.
- Lead initiatives to enhance logistics, distribution, and transportation management.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 7+ Years leading global Supply Chain / Sourcing / Purchasing, preferably for mid-sized industrial or consumer goods manufacturing company
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with ERP systems (Epicor / Kinetic preferred) and technology, in general
- Experience leading Sales & Operational Planning (S&OP)
- Experience with both strategic (sourcing + supply chain management) and tactical (purchasing) leadership
- Good negotiation skills
