Minimum 1+ years Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist experience and ARRT certification required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity invites experienced Interventional Radiology Technologists to contribute their expertise in a dynamic, Level 1 Trauma Designated academic medical center located in Winston-Salem, NC. With a comprehensive stroke center designation and a robust oncology service, the medical center fosters a challenging and supportive environment for IR professionals passionate about advanced patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Scrub and assist in interventional radiology and neuro IR procedures, including complex stroke, cancer, tumor, and vascular cases.
- Operate and circulate in support of procedures, working collaboratively with a team of two technologists per case.
- Manage and maintain department-specific imaging equipment, including Siemens, GE, Philips systems, and GE ultrasound units.
- Support the departments workflow through coordination with tech extenders and providers.
- Engage in preceptorship activities and foster a collaborative environment, mentoring new graduates and supporting team growth.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology or Neuro Interventional Radiology at a Level 1 Trauma center.
- Certifications: ARRT-R or RCIS, and current BLS certification required.
- Proficiency in scrubbing, circulating, and equipment operation specific to IR procedures.
- Ability to function effectively in a team-oriented setting with multiple providers.
- Comfortable working alongside new graduates and participating in preceptor roles.
Schedule/Hours:
- Rotation schedule with a cycle every 8 weeks.
- Typically 2 technologists per room per procedure.
