Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM + Overtime
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Description:
First Team Staffing is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Saw Operator for a steel company in the Nashville area. This role involves operating industrial saw equipment to accurately cut steel materials while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Operate band saws and/or cold saws to cut steel to specified lengths
• Read and follow work orders, cut lists, and measurements
• Measure and inspect materials for accuracy and quality
• Perform basic machine setup and routine maintenance
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Work with supervisors and team members to meet production goals

Qualifications:

• Previous saw operator experience preferred (steel or manufacturing a plus)
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure
• Strong attention to detail and safety
• Ability to lift up to [X] lbs and stand for extended periods
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with steel or metal fabrication
• Forklift experience or certification
• Manufacturing or warehouse background
