We are looking for a passionate research and marketing manager to join our multidisciplinary New York City team and mission of making a difference.


The Research & Marketing Manager will facilitate research efforts through survey data collection and support the marketing team in bringing results to life through multi-media content and clinical case studies.

What You Will Do:

  • Combine data and storytelling that inspires future clients and families joining our community, by bringing this content to life across multi-media channels to relevant, target audiences.

  • Collect and analyze data for all research projects, including The Dorm Research Outcomes & Impact Report, Discharge Data, and Satisfaction Surveys across all key stakeholders (clients, families, referrals, staff) that drives clinical & operational innovation.

  • Facilitate recruitment and follow-up of all research projects across the organization, which may require direct meetings with clients to administer surveys, phone calls with families, referrals, etc.

  • Process quality control census information & experience by sharing monthly top line insights by analyzing discharge data, and identifying key trends & SWOT that impact client experience.

  • Assist in the writing of conference presentations and publications for leading scientific journals.

  • Assist the development of compelling and strategic search optimized brand content, including web page updates, branded multi-media content, blogs, case studies, social media posts and other promotional and educational material and collateral.

  • Conduct weekly chart reviews of discharged clients to complete data collection and coding.

  • Tailor content to suit different audiences, ensuring relevance and resonance with each target demographic.

  • Ensure all written materials align with brand guidelines, maintaining a consistent voice and style across all touchpoints.

  • Build and maintain competitor research and marketing libraries (covering industry social media pages, email newsletters and websites) and contribute to quarterly reports to executive leadership on findings and new insights.

  • Support with capturing video/image content in various settings (on-site, on city field trips/outings) to showcase what makes The Dorm community and experience unique.

  • Co-develop research presentations for staff, executive leadership, and external stakeholders.

  • Miscellaneous research & marketing responsibilities including data collection and/or aggregation for in-the-moment statistics that are needed.

  • Miscellaneous research and marketing responsibilities and special projects as assigned by the Assistant Director, Research & Innovation and Senior Marketing Director.

What You Need to Qualify:

  • 1-3 years of experience in research or marketing positions which includes data collection, analysis, and reporting.

  • Must have a strong understanding of how to run and interpret statistical analyses using various software applications.

  • Intermediate to advanced comprehension and skillset with excel.

  • Comfortable writing for various audiences and purposes including academic manuscripts, case studies, thought leadership articles, etc.

  • Skillful competence navigating social media platforms, editing reels and videos on Instagram, Canva, and other relevant platforms.

  • Ability to initiate projects and lead with a self-starter attitude, manage timelines and bring them to successful completion.

  • Strong collaboration, attention to detail, communication skills and ability to work seamlessly in a fast paced team environment.

  • Undergraduate degree in psychology, digital marketing, analytics or related field.

  • Must be able to work a 2-3 day in-office hybrid schedule.
