Kitchen Manager Job Summary: This is a leadership role partnering with the Executive Chef. Responsibilities include ownership of the line, building your own team, ownership of our signature breakfast and luncheon buffet, weekly menu planning, supporting the Chef in labor management, team building, and inventory, including data entry. This is a salaried position with growth opportunities and, as an employee owner, gratifying—much freedom and creativity. Hiring bonus, after 30 days, $500, 90 days, $1000, 1st anniversary, $1000.

Kitchen Manager Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare or direct preparation of food served using established production procedures
  • Determine amount and type of food and supplies required using production systems
  • Learn menus, recipes, preparation, and presentation.
  • Comply with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards
  • Correctly prepare all food served following standard recipes and special diet orders
  • Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours so that excellence, quality, temperature, and appearance of food is preserved
  • Keep work area neat and clean at all times; clean and maintain equipment used in food preparation
  • Prep all food for next shift and for the following day
  • Work with servers to ensure guest satisfaction and resolve complaints about food service as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications for the Kitchen Manager:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum 1-year experience cooking at a restaurant or full-service hotel
  • Availability to work nights, weekends depending on business needs
