About the Role
We are seeking a Central Sourcing Support Specialist to assist our client, a leading manufacturer in the powersports industry, with tactical sourcing operations. This role is critical in supporting category and new product introduction (NPI) sourcing teams as they develop and implement strategies aligned with broader commodity objectives. You will help manage supplier relationships, maintain accurate data, and ensure sourcing priorities such as delivery, quality, cost competitiveness, and new product integration are met. As a Central Sourcing Contractor, you will provide day-to-day support to the sourcing organization by following established work instructions and adapting them as processes evolve. Responsibilities include communicating with suppliers, collaborating with internal stakeholders, and managing documentation. You will assist with meeting administration, presentation organization, and housing of materials. Additionally, you will track progress on sourcing priorities, resolve discrepancies, and identify process improvement opportunities. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Request shipping documentation and maintain accurate part and cost data.
- Support sourcing projects and enter tooling requests as directed.
- Assist with new supplier onboarding and profile updates.
- Track and communicate progress on daily tasks and maintain current costing.
- Collaborate with suppliers, plants, planning, and Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Partner with sourcing, quality, engineering, and finance teams to resolve issues.
- Identify workflow improvement opportunities and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills via email and phone.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Detail-oriented and a team player.
- Ability to develop productive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Comfortable analyzing data and pulling reports from various systems.
Preferred
- APICS CPIM and/or ISM C.P.M./A.P.P. certification.
- Previous experience in materials or purchasing.
- Experience creating presentations and working with PowerPoint.
