This role supports the month-end close, ensures accurate reporting across core accounting areas (GL, inventory, accruals, fixed assets), and plays a key role in audit prep and process improvement initiatives. Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end reporting packages
- Support general ledger activities across cash, inventory, fixed assets, leases, and accruals
- Assist with external audit requests and regulatory reporting
- Work closely with plant accounting teams to support cost accounting activities
- Help implement process improvements for close and reporting functions
- Collaborate with third-party tax partners to support compliance filings
- Contribute to purchase accounting and integration efforts as needed
- Partner cross-functionally with AP, AR, inventory, and finance teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA is a plus, but not required
- 3-5+ years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing or distribution
- Strong grasp of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Exposure to tools like SAP ECC, Sage, Epicor, or OneStream is a plus
- Background in private equity-backed companies is a plus
