We’re looking for you to become a valued member of the healthcare team at our client’s facility! Dental Hygienist Details Full Time Schedules Some weekends may be required 8 or 12 hour shifts available depending on the facility Contract Position (flexible with shift availability is a plus) Dental Hygienist Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, fluoride treatments, and other preventative dental procedures Conduct comprehensive oral assessments to evaluate the inmates’ oral health status, dental conditions, and record findings in inmate charts Administer periodontal therapy, including subgingival scaling, root debridement, and periodontal maintenance procedures, to treat and manage periodontal disease. Capture dental radiographs as needed, ensuring proper positioning and exposure settings, and interpret images to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning. Provide individualized oral hygiene instructions to inmates, emphasizing proper burshing and flossing techniques, nutritional counseling, and strategies for maintaining oral health. Assist with dental emergencies within the facility Dental Hygienist Qualifications Graduation from an accredited educational institution Licensed as a Dental Hygienist by the State in which the position is located.
