Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – CVICU / ICU
Location: Hyannis, MA 02601
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is hiring a skilled Travel Registered Nurse (RN) with strong CVICU/ICU experience to join a high-performing clinical team. This role focuses on delivering exceptional patient care in a critical care setting, with flexibility to support CVICU and Med/Surg Tele units based on patient volume and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Administer medications and closely monitor patient responses
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient documentation
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical, psychological, and social aspects
- Develop and coordinate individualized care plans with interdisciplinary teams
- Act as a clinical resource and support staff education and mentorship
- Perform charge nurse duties when assigned
- Utilize electronic health records and nursing informatics systems efficiently
- Adhere to all hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient outcome evaluations
- Engage in continuous professional development and skill enhancement
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and professional conduct
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Massachusetts
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum experience in CVICU and critical care settings
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- Completion of pharmacology and basic arrhythmia competency exams
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
- CCRN certification
- TCAR certification
- De-escalation training
- Hands-on experience with:
- Hemodynamic monitoring
- Ventilator management
- Intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring
