Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Providing specialized nursing care within a preschool and childcare setting, this role supports the health and well-being of a young student requiring 1:1 nursing assistance. Located in Waterford, MI, this contracted leave position offers part-day hours with specific dates through spring months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 nursing care tailored to the students individual needs during school hours
- Perform G-tube suctioning and manage tracheostomy (trach) care with precision and adherence to safety protocols
- Monitor and respond to health needs while supporting a nurturing, educational environment
- Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with all district health and safety policies
- Complete necessary onboarding including fingerprinting and securing a district authorization badge before starting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with current and valid licensure
- Experience in pediatric nursing, particularly in school or childcare environments
- Familiarity with tracheostomy care and G-tube management
- Ability to work independently and maintain professional standards in a school setting
Schedule and Dates:
- Part-day coverage from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Assignments on select dates from February through May (February: 3, 9, 12, 17, 19; March: 5, 11; April: 7, 9, 10; May: 7)
Compliance Requirements:
- District-issued badge and onsite fingerprinting mandatory
- Submission of acceptance prior to 8:00 AM or the start time on assignment days
