This role will support the site with routine process testing, compliance and operations testing, reporting, inspections, and record keeping.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compliance and operational testing for the mill’s National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permitted wastewater treatment plant
- Routine mill process testing to support operations
- Routine report generation and maintenance of mill technical database.
- OSHA confined space entry testing and permitting.
- Maintenance of mill lab supplies and equipment.
- Interaction with Georgia EPD and regulatory agencies. This includes required reporting, recordkeeping, and inspections.
- Storm water and oil spill protection monitoring, testing, reporting, recordkeeping, and inspections.
- Regular weekend duty for compliance and safety purposes.
- Assist Environmental and Process Engineers. Must earn a Georgia Waste Water Treatment Plant Lab Analyst certification within 1 year of employment.
Education and Skills:

Preferably a degree in Chemistry, Biology, or Environmental Science. A technical degree with related industrial experience will be considered.

Ability to work in a physically demanding, noisy industrial setting. Also must be able to work at heights and in confined areas.
