Job Description
The Trainer III is responsible for developing, implementing, and delivering comprehensive training programs aligned with organizational and operational needs. This role designs training plans, creates curriculum and instructional materials, and facilitates both classroom and eLearning courses.
As a subject matter expert, the Trainer III operates with minimal supervision and plays a key role in enhancing workforce capability through structured training initiatives. The position may also mentor junior trainers and provide train-the-trainer support to internal personnel. This role requires flexibility, field engagement, and the ability to adapt training delivery to various environments, including office and field settings.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive training programs based on operational or technical requirements
- Design training curriculum, course materials, and supporting documentation
- Deliver instructor-led training (ILT) in classroom and field environments
- Develop and facilitate eLearning modules and digital training content
- Conduct train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts
- Evaluate and update training programs to ensure accuracy, effectiveness, and compliance
- Mentor and support less experienced trainers as needed
- Coordinate training logistics including scheduling, materials, and resources
- Assess training effectiveness through feedback, testing, and performance metrics
- Ensure training aligns with safety standards, operational procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Support field operations by delivering training in active work environments when required
- Travel to various locations to conduct training sessions as needed

- Excellent instructor-led training and presentation skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

- Ability to engage diverse audiences and adapt training methods accordingly
- Leadership and mentoring capabilities
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in training, education, or a related field preferred
- Demonstrated experience in training development and delivery
- Experience in safety, operations, or technical training environments preferred
- Background in HSE/SHE training strongly preferred
- Field experience in industrial, construction, or oil & gas environments preferred
- Experience in safety and personnel management is an asset
- Bilingual (e.g., English/Spanish) preferred
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Willingness to travel and work flexible schedules, including field-based assignments
- Ability to work in various environments, including office and field settings, with appropriate PPE
Job Details
Pay: $60/per hr
Location: Midland, TX
Schedule: 5/2 – 40 – With daily travel in the Midland Basin area
