Our Therapy Office Coordinator works directly with the Hand and Arm Therapy Team to complete all administrative tasks related to patient scheduling, billing, and follow up care.
Summary Primary Responsibilities:
- Patient Services- Scheduling appointments, Answering phones, Greeting Patients
- Obtain and document authorizations and visit limits
- Patient check in and maintaining accurate patient records
- Review reports and update patient records as needed
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Maintain medical records in accordance with published record retention standards
- Administrative support including copying, filing, and data entry
- Special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 months customer service/ reception experience in health care setting
- Health care insurance, Worker's Compensation, and Medicare experience preferred
- Orthopedic and or OT/PT clinic experience preferred
- Ability to prioritize own work and work of others
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong personal computer skills (Microsoft Office and Windows)
- Detail oriented
- Highly dependable
- Office phone experience
- Ability to type 30 words per minute required
