Job DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia. As a key member of the office operations, you will handle a variety of administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of daily activities. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a proactive attitude.
Responsibilities:
• Receive and distribute mail and deliveries promptly to the appropriate individuals.
• Scan and send documents electronically to ensure timely communication.
• Prepare outgoing mail, FedEx shipments, and courier packages as needed.
• Set up conference rooms for meetings and arrange group lunches when necessary.
• Welcome visitors and escort them professionally to designated offices or conference rooms.
• Address inquiries from staff, clients, vendors, and office guests in a courteous manner.
• Restock office and kitchen supplies while maintaining inventory levels.
• Assist with general administrative tasks to support office operations.• Proven experience in receptionist or administrative roles.
• Proficiency in document scanning and electronic communication tools.
• Ability to manage inbound calls and provide excellent customer service.
• Strong organizational skills to handle clerical and administrative duties.
• Familiarity with preparing mail and courier packages.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with visitors and staff.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain supply inventories.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
