Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT), and 1+ year of Cath Lab experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A specialized role is available for an experienced Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist skilled in cardiac catheterization procedures. This position requires technical expertise in preparing and conducting cardiac catheterization lab procedures while ensuring patient safety and procedure accuracy. The role involves performing hemodynamic and control room duties alongside direct patient care activities such as stress testing and maintaining sterile technique.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing the Cardiac Cath Lab for invasive procedures with proper sterile technique and equipment setup.
- Performing and monitoring stress tests and hemodynamic measurements.
- Correlating invasive and non-invasive test results and communicating findings to the physician.
- Ensuring radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
- Completing patient catheterization reports with accuracy.
- Undertaking additional duties as necessary to support department operations.
Qualifications and credentials required:
- Valid North Dakota Medical Imaging License through the Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications from the American Heart Association.
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) highly preferred; candidates holding an ARRT credential will also be considered.
- Must meet state regulatory requirements aligning with a conditional license within 12 months of start date.
This is a contract position based in Grand Forks AFB, North Dakota, offering day shifts with options for early or late start times. Scheduled on 5x8 shifts, candidates will be on 24-hour call every 3-4 weekends and 1-2 weekdays. The assignment duration is 13 weeks.
