Join our dynamic and fast-paced assembly team where you will play a crucial role in the production process. You will start in gasketing and then progress to building, enhancing your skills and expertise. This position offers a potential pay increase as you advance and requires a commitment to quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Start with gasketing sheet metal plates using a tape gun to hold units together.
- Collaborate with a partner to gasket each plate, aiming to gasket up to 400 plates per shift.
- Assemble subcomponents and finished products, executing material processing with basic product and process knowledge.
- Fit metal products using hand and power tools and operate overhead cranes to build heat exchangers.
- Lift and fit product together, requiring physical stamina to handle weights of 60lbs+.
- Perform tasks involving lifting, climbing, standing, walking, and extending arms for prolonged periods.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools for assembly.
- Ability to review assembly diagrams to determine parts and quantities needed.
- Experience operating overhead cranes.
- Mechanical skills for interpreting blueprints and schematics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED is required upon permanent conversion; the company offers a GED program.
- Physical ability to lift 50lbs+ (40lbs+ independently).
- Capability to regularly walk, sit, and reach for extended periods.

Work Environment
You will work on a clean, organized, and expansive manufacturing floor with all sections clearly labeled based on materials and production. First shift hours are from 6AM to 2:30PM, with potential to work until 4:30PM when necessary.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.75/hr.
