Join a cutting-edge aerospace and defense program shaping the future of space systems. Our client, an innovative space technology company, is seeking a skilled RF Test Engineer to support the development and testing of advanced spacecraft communication systems.

In this critical role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to build and refine RF test environments, validate radio systems for space applications, and ensure mission-ready performance. This position offers a unique opportunity to work hands-on with spacecraft radios and systems in a high-impact, fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and execute RF test procedures for spacecraft radios and RF systems.
Expand and enhance RF test racks to support multiple radio types and configurations.
Conduct performance, integration, and environmental testing, including EMI/EMC compliance.
Analyze RF test data, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to design improvements.
Ensure regulatory and standards compliance (e.g., ITAR, MIL-STD, SMC).
Provide mentorship to junior engineers and collaborate across systems and hardware teams.
Maintain, calibrate, and improve RF testing tools and procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar field.
3–5 years of hands-on RF testing experience, preferably in the aerospace or defense sector.
Proficiency with RF test equipment (spectrum/network analyzers, power meters, etc.).
Experience with RF test rack design and spacecraft communications systems.
Familiarity with EMI/EMC testing, test automation, and RF data analysis.
Strong documentation and cross-functional communication skills.
Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (ITAR compliance required).

Preferred Experience:

5+ years in RF testing roles.
Experience with satellite communications and ground station interfaces.
Use of RF simulation tools (CST, HFSS, MATLAB).
Familiarity with space mission lifecycles and related testing standards (DO-160, MIL-STD).
Environmental test experience (thermal, vacuum, vibration).
