Job Description

Job DescriptionDescription:

Invariant seeks a Senior Director to join the emerging Data and Analytics team. You will work with the team that turns complex data into competitive insights and actionable results that drive impact for clients.

Our clients range from Fortune 500 companies to the most disruptive startups in the country. We help them solve complex challenges, stay ahead of market trends, understand customer behavior, and navigate competitive landscapes. We use data, research, and analytics to inform strategy, de-risk decisions, and unlock growth.

Invariant is a different kind of firm. We look at data, communications, public affairs, government relations, and business strategy holistically. You will do challenging, impactful work here. If that sounds interesting to you, come join us.

What you’ll do

  • Lead high-profile research and analytics projects: design study frameworks, choose methodologies, gather and analyze data from diverse sources.
  • Conduct market research on clients, consumers, competitors, product trends, and regulatory/policy environments.
  • Continuously research and evaluate the latest AI technologies and methodologies to ensure Invariant stays at the forefront of market intelligence and analytics.
  • Integrate cutting-edge AI tools into media monitoring, data analysis, and strategic reporting to deliver innovative insights that help clients stay ahead of competitors and industry trends.
  • Stay current on industry best practices and market-moving developments.
  • Translate insights into strategic recommendations that help clients refine market positioning, product offerings, go-to-market strategies, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Review and interpret large, complex datasets and convert findings into client-ready memos, reports, action plans, and visualizations.
  • Present findings clearly and convincingly to internal and external audiences.
  • Harness new methodologies, tools, or metrics to improve our research and analytics.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients by understanding their business goals, anticipating and advising on emerging opportunities and risks.
  • Capture client success stories; feed learning back into practice to continuously improve offerings.

Who you are

  • 8+ years of experience in market research, data analytics, consulting, or a related field, with substantial experience solving strategic business problems.
  • Excellent communicator: strong writing, editing, presentation skills; able to package research findings into compelling stories.
  • Expert in both quantitative and qualitative research methods (surveys, focus groups, competitor benchmarking, sentiment analysis, etc.).
  • Deep proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools: ability to work with large, messy data sets, draw insights, and present them accessibly to nontechnical audiences; and using Brandwatch (or similar media-/social listening platforms) to surface trends, sentiment, competitive intelligence, and content insights.
  • Highly organized, adept at juggling multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Innovative and curious: comfortable challenging assumptions; proactive in designing new tools or processes for better insights.

Salary range is $150,000 – 225,000 and will be determined based on skills, experience, and market data.

In addition, our total rewards package includes an annual discretionary bonus based on individual performance and that of the firm; commissions; robust medical, dental, and vision plans with employer HSA contributions; generous retirement matching; educational assistance; professional development assistance; unlimited time off; and other benefits.

Invariant is committed to creating a diverse culture and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
