Overview:
The Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager has primary responsibility for maintaining the Performance Seats Management Systems and is the key interface between Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Sales, and third-party compliance partners to ensure QMS and EH&S requirements are met.
Responsible for ensuring the existing system is implemented and followed and will also be instrumental in improving the QMS and EH&S system as applicable. Lead quality system audits, audit readiness activities, improvements or initiatives, and collaborate with site manufacturing and operations teams.
The QMS and EH&S Manager will develop, update, and train employees in EHS policies and procedures and lead company health and safety initiatives. As required, the QMS and EH&S Manager will audit/inspect, collect and analyze data required for environmental and safety reporting compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Key Responsibilities:
- Owner of management systems documents and their repository
- Control, maintain and improve the QMS and EHS Management System, maintaining certifications.
- Work with functional leads, process leads/owners for updates, revision to system documentation (Internal, master document list, SharePoint portal).
- Evaluate, develop, update and maintain quality and environmental policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Ensure management systems for Performance Seats are followed and the site maintains adherence to all quality policies, processes and procedures.
- Perform audit readiness activities by evaluating documentation and records and ensure personnel are audit ready.
- Identify and lead system improvements, focusing on effectiveness, efficiency, and when applicable, drive simplification.
- Provides expertise for and guidance to site personnel on management system policies and procedures.
- Assist in writing and submitting 8-Ds in a timely manner.
- Work with management to build a proactive safety culture in the organization.
- Conduct and/or oversee EHS assessments/audits at the facility. Identify areas for improvement and lead corrective actions.
- Develop, present and/or oversee EHS related training in compliance with regulatory compliance or industry best practices. Document all training sessions.
- Prepare, maintain, and comply with federal, state, and local agency environmental reporting and permitting with organizational standards.
- Advise management on EHS legislation and legal requirements and ensure organization is compliant.
- Investigate injuries/illness, near-miss, 3rd party and environmental incidents. Record and maintain OSHA 300 and 301 logs for organization.
- Lead Internal Audit team for IATF 16949 and ISO 14001; review and audit processes and quality systems
- Report on the status of the management systems at the management review.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Requirements & Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- 4 - 7 Years' experience with a bachelor's degree, or
- 2 - 5 Years' experience with a master's degree
Knowledge & Specialized Training:
- IATF 1649 Certification
- ISO 14001 Certification
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong writing skills
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience in PLEX ERP software system is desired.
- Ability to manage multiple projects or priorities
