Position Overview:
\nJoin a dynamic surgical team as an OR RN, providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment. This role involves working day and evening shifts with a flexible, rotating schedule. The RN will participate in on-call rotations, including once a week and every fifth weekend, ensuring continuous patient support and readiness to respond to urgent needs. You have the option to choose between four 10-hour shifts (7:00 am - 5:30 pm or 8:00 am - 6:30 pm) or five 8-hour shifts (7:00 am - 3:30 pm, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm, or 10:00 am - 6:30 pm). This is an excellent opportunity for experienced OR nurses seeking a rewarding assignment with flexible scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

\n

    \n
  • Provide skilled perioperative nursing care to surgical patients before, during, and after procedures.\n
  • Assist the surgical team by preparing operating rooms, sterilizing equipment, and ensuring the availability of necessary supplies.\n
  • Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and address urgent needs during procedures.\n
  • Document patient care activities accurately and comply with hospital policies and safety standards.\n
  • Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.\n
  • Participate in on-call rotations, responding promptly to emergency needs outside regular hours.\n

What You Bring:

\n

  • Valid RN license in the state of practice (Must possess an active and unrestricted license).\n
  • Prior OR experience, preferably in a hospital setting, with solid knowledge of surgical procedures and safety protocols.\n
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a high-stakes environment.\n
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with interdisciplinary teams effectively.\n
  • Ability to adapt to rotating shifts and respond swiftly to urgent situations.\n
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.\n

Preferred Education & Experience:

\n

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.\n
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of perioperative nursing experience preferred.\n
  • Experience with surgical instrumentation and sterilization processes is a plus.\n

Certifications and Licenses:

\n

  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification\n
  • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification (preferred)\n
  • State nursing license (must be active and unrestricted)\n
