A leave contract opportunity is available for a Paraprofessional or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support an elementary school setting in Lees Summit, Missouri. The role spans from January 6th through March 27th and involves covering a maternity leave. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule of 9:00 AM to 4:25 PM, totaling 35 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group instructional support to students under the direction of licensed educators and behavior specialists.
- Implement behavior intervention plans and support social and academic development.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and therapists to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and procedures.
- For RBTs: follow BACB guidelines with supervision provided.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Substitute or Paraprofessional Certification through the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), OR
- Active RBT certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Prior experience working in a K-12 educational setting preferred.
- Ability to reliably commute to the school location in Lees Summit, MO.
- Willingness to complete background checks and drug screening as required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to cover a temporary leave with professionalism.
